We rang in the new year tucked safely in our home.  The kids were determined to stay awake until midnight.  I think I dozed off early, but the fireworks exploding outside woke me up.

We stood on the balcony and got to see a few fireworks across the freeway, luckily there didn't appear to be anyone in the complex popping them.

We didn't sleep too late because Jamie and I decided to treat the kids to Benihana for lunch.  So yummy!

The kids had no idea the chef was going to make our meal right in front of us.  That was a real treat for them.  Max decided he wants to be a chef at Benihana when he grows up. 

I think we should make Benihana's a New Year tradition.
