love note . . .
October 3, 2009 Chomas would be SO disappointed in me. I found a project that would be great to use the Cricut on, but I ended up doing it by hand, because . . . well, I'm a glutton for punishment . . . but mostly because I only have four Cricut carts and I didn't like any of them for this project.
I'm seriously liking all the wall text. And I had some personal messages that I wanted to put up on the wall for my family. The first one being a reminder that I love them. I put it by the front door so it would be the last thing they see as they walk out the door to start their day.

So, yeah, let me explain the hard way to do this, for those of you who might, like me, decide to do this in the middle of the night and not have all the proper tools to do it easily.
Supplies:
- Computer
- Printer
- Cardstock
- Scissors
- Double-sided tape
- Stapler
First I created a document with my text, which is Arial 225 point. Then I cut out the letters and taped them backwards on a piece of black cardstock with a small piece of double-sided tape. I taped them in reverse because the white side would be easier to see on the black cardstock. I cut the letters out of the cardstock, removed the template, then positioned them on the wall. Once I was sure I had them where I wanted them, I put one staple in each letter to adhere them to the wall.
Now, I know that it probably would have been easier with sticky-back vinyl cut on a Cricut . . . but I didn't have any of that stuff. And I actually like the way staples look on my paper projects, so that was a plus for me. I finished off my little message with some chipboard hearts left over from a Heidi Swap mini album project I did a couple of years ago.
And I just have to add that in this crazy, fast-paced world, with all it's modern conveniences . . . there is something to be said for the theraputic effect of taking some quiet time to sit still and cut something out by hand.
